New Pup Event – “BAD DOG”

Event Poster

Bad Dogs need to be controlled at the dog park because they often want to fight and mount the other dogs…but now they can run wild at the Black Eagle Toronto once a month!

With the great success of Pup Nights, the Black Eagle Kennel Klub is very happy to present an alternative pup event: Bad Dog!

Bad Dog is not your typical pup mosh event. It’s a night of full-contact puppy play. Pups will be given room to wrestle PLUS a semi-private space where full nudity and some sexual play will be allowed.

If you’re interested in pup wrestling and/or sexualized fully nude puppy play then you might be a bad dog. In that case, this night is for you!

Pup Night News

Pup Nights at the Black Eagle Toronto have been ROCKING!!!

We had 55 pups in gear + a packed bar in January…46 pups + a packed bar in February.

The next Pup Night happens on the same weekend as Furnal Equinox (a big Furry convention) in March.  April’s Pup Night happens during Easter Weekend.  We expect both those nights to be busy as well.

We expected that moving Pup Night to a Saturday might attract more out of town pups & handlers…and we were right.  We’re now getting participants from as far away as Montreal, Detroit, Rochester, and many places in-between.

Sadly, one reason we’re getting pups & handlers from Ottawa is because Ruff & Tumble has lost their home bar.  The Centretown Pub is now closed.  In order to help them out (as well as to help out any other out-of-town pups & handlers who may need it) the Black Eagle Kennel Klub is asking its members to make it known should they be able to provide a spare bed, couch, air mattress, or parking space for an out-of-town pup or handler.

Remember, we all gather because we love what we do; so let’s do whatever we can to help our out-of-town comrades join us in fun and fellowship.

Membership Photo Day #2

Since not everyone could make it for the last Photo Day there will be another one held at the Black Eagle Toronto on Monday March 6th from 7:00pm until 10:00pm.  It takes less than 5 minutes to provide your name, phone number, and email address and then sit for one photo.

We’re hoping to have the new Black Eagle Kennel Klub membership cards ready to be picked up at the March 18th Pup Night.

Membership Cards

The Black Eagle Kennel Klub is creating new membership cards. The new plastic cards will bear your photo, name, and email address; and will give BEKK members free discounts and special offers from our sponsors.

There is no charge to be a BEKK member. You only need to come out and participate.

Membership cards will only be given to ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING members. You MUST show up in person to get your photo taken and to pick up your card. BEKK membership cards will NOT be processed online nor will they be mailed to anyone.

Kennel Klub News

Hello Pups & Handlers!

2017 is off to a rocking start for the Black Eagle Kennel Klub!  The January Pup Night was VERY well-attended.  We had 55 pups in gear and several handlers.

Partly due to our recent change to Saturdays (and sadly…partly due to the loss of the Centretown Pub in Ottawa) we had a lot of people attend from out of town.  People came from Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo, Rochester, and from across Ontario.  Not only was the Black Eagle packed, our group also pretty much took over O’Grady’s main floor.

With the loss of CP, the Ottawa pup & handler group Ruff & Tumble lost the venue for their Pup Night.  Until they can find another suitable venue, the BEKK executive is asking all members to please let us know if you have an extra bed, couch, or parking spot you can offer to any Ottawa pups who’d like to come to our event but can’t easily afford a hotel.  If you can help someone out, then please let me (Argo), Ego, or Timbehr know.

January 31 is the deadline for submitting your concept for the new BEKK logo.  Remember the winner will receive $100.00!!!  Please send in your entry ASAP if you haven’t already done so.

The BEKK Executive Committee will meet on February 1st to discuss the Klub’s plans for 2017.  We will be discussing plans for PACK 2017 Weekend, possible changes to our monthly Pup Night, and ideas for new social & educational events for pups & handlers.  We’d like to continue hosting “Sticks & Balls” at Pegasus.  We’d like to help Pup Benny hold another “Games & Gear Night”.  If enough members are interested, then we’d also like to bring back Pup Sprocket’s “Kibbles & Beers” event (where we all just meet up for dinner some place).  If you have any comments, concerns, or ideas that you’d like us to discuss, then please email them to  me at so they may be added to the meeting agenda.

The BEKK is not designed to make money.  We do not charge for social events or memberships.  PACK Weekend was designed to be revenue-neutral (we only charged attendees as much as we needed to cover our costs).  Thanks to the Black Eagle letting us keep the coat check money and because not everyone who paid for a PACK Brunch used their ticket – the BEKK’s finances are in good shape.  We already have enough to cover the Toronto Pup 2018’s travel fund and our expenses.  We’ve already purchased a leather pup hood which pups may borrow for Pup Night and new wristbands for the coat check.  If you have any ideas for things the BEKK could use, then please let us know so those ideas may be discussed at the meeting as well.

Remember – the Black Eagle Kennel Klub exists to promote a healthy & active pup & handler community.  It is also designed to be a SAFE SPACE for ALL its members regardless of role, race, sexuality, or gender identity.  Our #1 rule is “If you can’t play nicely then you can’t play at all.”  Remember that a pack is only as strong as its weakest member, so each one of us bears the responsibility of building one another up, protecting one another, and keeping the pack united & strong.

Watch this page for updates, and see y’all at our next event!

The Black Eagle Kennel Klub is looking for a new logo.

We thought we’d throw it out to you – the community that has supported us over these last 8 years – to help design the symbol that will represent you in the future.

We are offering a $100 cash prize to the winning logo! The contest will close on Jan 31, 2017.

1. All logo designs must be submitted in a digital format. Vector files are preferred but .psd, .png and .jpeg files are acceptable.

2. Logos must be sent to along with your full name and contact information.

3. All applicant must have their image submitted by Jan 31, 2017 at 6:00pm in order to be eligible.

4. The winning logo will be selected by Argo, Timbehr and Ego after the due date.

5. The Black Eagle Kennel Klub will have all rights to the selected logo. The BEKK will also have all rights to reproduce and sell the logo in the future.

The logo will appear on our new membership cards, Klub banner,  website, and on T-shirts.

Here’s your chance to use your creative puppy powers for profit & prominence!!

BEKK Membership Cards

The Black Eagle Kennel Klub is preparing new membership cards.

The new cards will be plastic and will include a photograph of the member’s face (hoods/masks will not be permitted).  For discretion, the card will only say “BEKK Member” and will not include any other information beyond an expiry date.

We are working with our sponsors to bring our members some additional benefits to carrying a membership card.  Northbound Leather has for years offered us a 15% discount on their stock merchandise, and we hope they will continue to do so.  I will meet with them soon to confirm the details.

The Men’s Room has already offered BEKK members a 15% discount with the card.  I will approach our other sponsors and update you all once meetings have occurred.  Please note that in order to take advantage of BEKK membership benefits, you must provide your phone number and email address for our sponsors’ databases.

Membership photos will be taken soon.  Membership cards will ONLY be given to pups & handlers who pick them up in person at BEKK events.  Cards will NOT be mailed or sent electronically.

Once all the details and dates are confirmed, we’ll fill you in.

MANY thanks to our sponsors!!!  Please remember to support the businesses who support us!
